Rich co-founded Silver Fin Capital in 2005.  He is a seasoned mortgage professional with an extensive background in loan origination, processing, and operations. Rich’s expertise includes conventional, FHA, jumbo/super jumbo, co-op and commercial loans. In addition, Rich has significant experience with mortgage compliance, regulation, and lending software integration.

At Silver Fin Capital, Rich oversees the loan origination and processing teams, as well as the company’s compliance group. He previously served as vice president of sales and operations for a large mortgage brokerage, where he was involved in all aspects of originating, processing, and closing residential and commercial finance transactions. Rich also managed and trained a large team of loan officers and processors. In addition, he has a wealth of sales and business development experience in various industries.

Rich has written articles for many industry publications and has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and The Real Deal Magazine to name a few.  In addition, he has been named twice to the MPA Hot 100 Movers and Shakers in the Mortgage Industry.  In his free time, Richard volunteers for a number of charities and enjoys playing hockey, golf and spending time with his family.

Rich is proud to be a member of the Nassau County Police Department Foundation Board of Advisors, which provides financial support to the analytic, operational and outreach components of the Nassau County Police Department’s mission to serve and protect the people of Nassau County, and to provide safety and an improved quality of life in our communities through excellence in policing. He is a graduate of the University of Albany, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications.
